Confidential information from your medical records such as Diagnoses, BMI, Prescriptions, Cholesterol results, etc (not consultations), along with your NHS Number, Date of Birth and Gender can be used by the NHS to improve the services offered so we can provide the best possible care for everyone.
This information (not your name) are sent to a secure system (HSCIC – Health and Social Care Information Centre) where it can be linked to other health information from different parts of the NHS in a way that does not identify you.
